Mikael Rizzo is the Original Kanima and therefore one of the two bearers of the Original Immortal Gene, Mikael created the first Kanima and since then Kanima have continued to exist for centuries and centuries but in a twisted reptilian form, all Kanima are subordinate to a native older Kanima and have inherited Mikael's protectiveness and goals to reverse their reptilian state.
Although Mikael isn't the Kanima causing the recent chaos in Beacon Hills, he is the one causing it, enslaving and leading all the Kanima in their unified goals. Mikael is currently the head of the Stellio Clan.
